Night District
Neon saturation and grey-market commerce after hours. Kok-Jal runs the supply chain; the market runs itself.
Night Market is where the city's official economy ends and the actual economy begins. Every stall, service, and exchange here operates on trust, referrals, and the knowledge that the licensing office is on the other side of the city. Street crews provide informal security and take a percentage of everything. Unlicensed implant clinics, stolen hardware, forged documents, emergency triage — it's all available if you know the approach vector.
Architecture
Three-to-seven-story mixed buildings whose facades disappear behind layered signage — printed fabric and LED panels from pavement to roofline and above. Narrow canopy corridors of paper lanterns and LED strips. Wet asphalt reflects everything twice. Signs project two meters into the walkway. Night kitchens vent steam at head height. Holographic koi drift through the ventilation column above the market entrance. Dynamic light patterns on club facades cycle continuously.
In the City
Wanderers hold the district's informal information economy. Street Gangs provide block-level security on a percentage basis. Guardian presence is targeted and rare. Key sites: Blik Street (24-hour noodle shops and vending machines, sign-overhang corridor — quests involving signs and theft), Neon Alley and Casino (club facades with dynamic patterns, balcony bars, information hooks), Night Market trading hall (robot vendor stalls, glitch-sale anomalies in automated systems, contraband layer in secondary walkways). NPCs: Nami, Nathan, Nyuk, Gaika, Dugan.
