District

Suburbs

Green belt past the last ring road — private yards, garden patches, and operational freedom that the city's surveillance grid hasn't covered yet.

The Suburbs are the city bleeding into its own edges: incomplete construction, intermittent power, and the sense that whatever infrastructure exists here was an afterthought. No single faction dominates. Minor crews hold streets. Residents form their own ad-hoc arrangements. The Resistance has contacts here; so does almost everyone else who needs space to operate without scrutiny.

Architecture

One-to-two-story brick and render houses from at least three architectural decades; solar panels retrofitted on south-facing roofs; high perimeter fences with solid-gate entries; detached garages. Hand-dug wells and operational greenhouses. Dirt roads on the outer lots. Dogs audible from the street. A mosaic of styles assembled over fifty years with no unifying plan.

In the City

Private sector with genuine operational freedom. No Prospect checkpoints; Guardian patrols stop at the ring road. Resistance cells operate openly. Key sites: Echo Settlement (the largest residential cluster — vegetable gardens, wells, greenhouses, community character), Lowrider Yard (circular gathering point — customized cars, DJ setup from boot mounts, informal circuit racing on adjacent ground roads, social hub for district-wide community ties).
